About Jenn

Jenn Doucette is the mother and caregiver of three children, seven chickens, one hamster, one cat, and two Beta fish named Gary and Larry.

Author, freelance writer, and humorist, Jenn is the author of The Velveteen Mommy (NavPress 2005), Mama Said There’d Be Days Like This (Harvest House 2007), and UP! Devotions for Faith that Connects (Revell 2007).

Jenn is a graduate of Trinity Western University, a seasoned Sunday School teacher, as well as a graduate of Bible Study Fellowship, International. Jenn has been a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Denomination for over thirty years, having accepted Christ as a young child. She speaks to a variety of women’s groups such as: MOMS, MOPS, women’s ministry events, and Hearts at Home.

A quick wit coupled with a quirky sense of humor provide Jenn a natural speaking platform for her to encourage and uplift other women living in the real world of diapers, deadlines, and doctor visits.

In her (ahem) free time, Jenn enjoys reading, gardening, playing with her kiddos, snuggling with her cat, Belle, watching movies, and learning to play the guitar. Jenn, her husband Ben, and kiddos make their home in the Seattle area.
